Food protein chart
Protein contribution to weight and energy for all foods in the USDA FDC FNDDS ("Survey") dataset, categorized into vegan/vegetarian/omni (or combinations if uncertain) using data from fooddata-vegattributes.

Calculation details
To compute the energy contributions of macronutrients, carbohydrates
and protein were counted as 4 kcal/g, alcohol as 7 kcal/g and
fat as 9 kcal/g. Fiber was ignored. There were small discrepancies
between the total energy computed in this way and the total energy
given in the FDC data, so as a compromise the average between these two
values was used.
